The Squire Game (prototype)
The Squire Game - A Medieval Strategy Board Game (Playtest version)
The Squire Game is a strategic board game born from the clever pastimes of waiting squires. Legend has it that these resourceful apprentice knights would carve the game board into tavern tables, scratch it in courtyard sand, or even stitch it onto their traveling cloaks - turning any surface into a battlefield of wits.
What began as a simple way to pass time while knights attended their lordly duties evolved into a beloved test of tactical thinking, training the next generation of strategic minds.
How to Play
Each player commands a small force of troops on opposite sides of the board, with one goal: breach your opponent's stronghold.

- Green squares show where your selected troop can move
- Click a troop to select it, then click a valid destination to move
- Troops can move one square at a time in any direction
- Win by reaching the triangular stronghold on your opponent's side
Combat Rules:
- To capture an enemy position, you must outnumber them
- Example: Move two of your troops to a zone controlled by one enemy troop to capture it
- Captured troops are removed from the boar, but can be recruited again
Strategic Tips:
- Keep your troops close to support each other
